There is a different glow in Puri city of Odisha for the last two-three days. The city is all set for the smooth conduct of the annual Rath Yatra festival of Lord Jagannath starting from Sunday. This time's event is quite special. Actually, after 53 years this journey will be of two days. President Draupadi Murmu will also watch this Rath Yatra along with lakhs of devotees on Sunday. The state government has made special arrangements for this. Officials said the Odisha government has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the yatra, which is usually conducted on a single day. Experts say that according to the calculations of planets and constellations, a two-day yatra has been organized this year, whereas earlier a two-day yatra was organized in the year 1971. It is reported that in a departure from tradition, some rituals associated with the festival related to the three brother-sister deities - Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra will also be conducted on the same day on Sunday.
