The Indian Army achieved a significant victory in Jammu and Kashmir on the night of September 8, 2024. The Army killed two terrorists in the Lam area of Naushera, Jammu. A large cache of war materials was recovered from them. The operation is ongoing. According to the White Knight Corps, intelligence agencies and the Jammu and Kashmir police provided crucial information about the terrorists' presence. Acting on this intelligence, the Army launched an anti-infiltration operation in the area. After several hours of intense engagement, the terrorists were neutralized. It is believed that these terrorists were preparing for a major attack. The White Knight Corps posted on the social media platform X, stating that based on intelligence from the agencies and Jammu and Kashmir police, Operation Kanthi was initiated on the night of September 8 in Rajouri's Naushera. Two terrorists were eliminated during this operation, and a significant amount of war material, including two AK-47s and a pistol, was recovered. The Army is still conducting search operations in the area. This development comes just days before the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, raising concerns that the terrorists were planning a major attack either before or during the election period. The first phase of voting is scheduled for September 18, with the second phase on September 25 and the third phase on October 1. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
