Howrah-CSMT Express train derails near Jharkhand's Chakradharpur, 2 Killed

West Singhbhum (Jharkhand), July 30 (ANI): A serious rail accident occurred early this morning near Chakradharpur in Jharkhand, where several coaches of the Howrah-CSMT Express derailed, resulting in injuries to six people. The derailment happened around 3:45 am, causing significant disruption and immediate concern. Following the incident, emergency response teams were promptly mobilized to manage the situation. Accident Relief Medical Equipment (ARME) units, along with medical staff, were dispatched to the site to provide immediate medical assistance and attend to the injured passengers. Additionally, the Additional Divisional Railway Manager (CKP) from Chakradharpur Railway Station arrived on the scene to oversee the response efforts and coordinate the rescue operations. The derailment has not only caused injuries but has also disrupted rail services, with authorities working diligently to restore normalcy. The cause of the derailment is yet to be determined, and a detailed investigation is expected to follow to uncover the factors contributing to the accident. Emergency services are focusing on providing medical care to the injured, ensuring their swift transportation to nearby hospitals, and assessing the extent of the damage. The railway authorities are also addressing the immediate needs of stranded passengers and working on resuming rail services as quickly as possible.
