Historic: Nine SC judges take oath, strength increases to 33

Nine new judges of Supreme Court took oath of office at one go. It has happened for the first time in the history of Supreme Court. The oath was telecast LIVE as well. The total number of judges has now risen to 33. Take a look at the detailed report

The names of the nine judges are Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka (was Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court), Justice Vikram Nath (was Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court), Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari (was the Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court), Justice Hima Kohli (was Chief Justice of Telangana High Court) and Justice B V Nagarathna (who was a judge of Karnataka High Court)
