Gyanvapi Row: Did the truth of the temple come out in the survey report? | Live from Varanasi

Varanasi is a city moulded by faith, but its identity is one in which numerous traditions coexist, their various colours flowing over the streets. However, there is another tale to be told, one that is less reassuring. The first recorded communal conflicts, commonly known as the 'Lat Bhairon' riots, occurred in 1809. Several people were killed after Hindus sought to build a Hanuman temple in a Muslim-dominated area near Laat Bhairav between the Gyanvapi masjid and the Kashi Vishvanath temple, according to Asian history researcher Marzia Casolari.
