Gold prices touch new highs amid Covid-19
Amid Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, gold prices have skyrocketed. When markets opened on Wednesday, the price of gold was pegged at Rs 48,954 per 10 gram. By the time the markets closed, it was pegged at Rs 49,122 per 10 gram, a whopping increase of Rs 678 per 10 gram. This is the most expensive the gold has been till date. Prior to this, the price of gold on 1 July had reached Rs 48,980 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver has also crossed Rs 50,000 per kg.
