Glacier collapses in Uttarakhand's Niti valley, govt issues alert

A glacier in Niti valley, near Joshimath on India-China border has collapsed post heavy snowfall in the region. People living near the area now fear a flood. The northern hills of India have been experiencing heavy snowfall for a few days. 

In February, a glacier burst killed nearly 80 people in Chamoli while many went missing.
