FM Sitharaman announces commercial mining in the coal sector
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in a press briefing on Saturday said, "we are bringing in commercial mining in the coal sector. The sector had been monopolized by the government. This govt monopoly is now being ended. Commercial mining of coal on a revenue-sharing basis will help more of it to be available at market prices.
