First batch of AstraZeneca-Oxford Corona vaccine shipped from Pune
The first batch of Serum Institute of India's Coronavirus vaccine has been shipped from Pune on Tuesday. Over 14 tonnes of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines will take off from Pune in ten flights and are likely to land in Delhi and Gujarat. This has happened as the Narendra Modi government had inked a contract with the SII for 11 million doses for the frontline workers.
