Ek Akela Iss Sheher Mein | What is special in Banaras? | 15 Jan 2022
Varanasi is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, also known as Kashi and Banaras. Varanasi is one of India's most revered holy destinations, located on the banks of the Ganga River in Uttar Pradesh. The city is named after the intersection of two rivers, Varuna and Assi. The name "Kashi" comes from the word "Kas," which means "to shine." Varanasi is known for its bathing ghats along the Ganga's banks. Pilgrims flock to these ghats to bathe in the holy water and cleanse themselves of their sins.
