CAA Violence: Protests spread in UP's Mau

An undeclared curfew has been imposed in Mau district after students, protesting against the new citizenship law, went on rampage, set vehicles on fire and threw stones at the police.

The cops also resorted to firing teargas shells and lathi-charged the protesters, reports said. Hundreds of students staged protest against the police action against their companions a day earlier, outside Jamia Millia Islamia University on Monday.
