Breaking: Student’s Death at Nalanda Engineering College Sparks Violent Protests

A major unrest broke out in Nalanda, Bihar, after the tragic suicide of a second-year student at Chandi Engineering College. The young woman allegedly jumped from the third floor of her hostel, and students claim her life could have been saved if timely medical help was provided. According to reports, the principal refused to offer his vehicle to rush the critically injured student to the hospital, while the ambulance arrived late. The student, identified as Sonam, succumbed on the way, sparking outrage among her peers.Following the incident, students turned violent, vandalizing college property and setting several vehicles on fire. Visuals from the campus show massive destruction, with classrooms and offices damaged. As the situation escalated, police forces rushed to the college and used lathicharge to disperse the crowd. Shocking allegations have also emerged that police manhandled several female students during the crackdown. Many students, including girls, sustained injuries in the clashes.The situation in the campus remains tense, with large numbers of students leaving the hostel and demanding strict action against the college administration. Authorities have launched an inquiry into the negligence claims as the district continues to reel under unrest
