Breaking News: PM Modi Forms Nandan Nilekani-Led Task Force to Build Leak-Proof Exam System

In a major step toward strengthening India's examination system, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the formation of a high-powered task force to recommend comprehensive reforms aimed at preventing future paper leaks. The initiative comes amid nationwide concerns over examination integrity and follows demands for stronger safeguards to ensure fair and transparent recruitment and entrance tests. The expert panel will be chaired by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani and is expected to submit recommendations for creating a secure, technology-driven, and transparent examination framework. The task force includes former ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, former Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti, former Education Secretary Anita Karwal, and logistics expert Amrit Lal Meena. Their combined expertise in technology, security, education, administration, and logistics will help the government develop a robust system to minimize the risk of examination malpractice. Prime Minister Modi shared the announcement through social media, stating that the task force will focus on examination reforms and ensure greater credibility for upcoming exams. He also thanked citizens for their feedback on previous video messages and said suggestions from the public and Cabinet colleagues would be considered while finalizing the reform framework. The government is expected to introduce and seek the early passage of legislation related to examination reforms during the ongoing Parliament session. Officials believe the recommendations of the expert panel, along with legal and technological measures, will help establish a leak-proof examination process, strengthen public confidence, and protect the interests of millions of students appearing for competitive examinations across the country.
