Breaking: NDA Maps Parliament Plan as Opposition Sharpens Multi-Issue Offensive Before Monsoon Session
Political activity has intensified in New Delhi ahead of the Parliament's Monsoon Session, with both the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition finalizing their legislative and political strategies. The government is holding a key high-level meeting at Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's residence to review its agenda and floor coordination for the upcoming session. Senior ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Minister of State Arjun Ram Meghwal, are expected to participate along with other senior leaders. The strategy meeting is aimed at ensuring smooth functioning of both Houses while preparing responses to issues likely to be raised by the opposition. Parliamentary management, legislative priorities, and coordination among alliance partners are expected to dominate the discussions as the government seeks to counter a united opposition. On the other hand, the Congress has also stepped up its preparations following a parliamentary strategy meeting attended by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and senior MPs. The opposition plans to raise several contentious issues during the session, including the NEET paper leak controversy, inflation, unemployment, delimitation, women's reservation, ethanol policy, and allegations related to donations at the Ram Temple. The party is also considering parliamentary action over recent remarks made by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh regarding Operation Sindoor. As political rhetoric gathers momentum before the session, the BJP has maintained that it is prepared to debate every issue on the floor of Parliament, while accusing the opposition of attempting to disrupt proceedings. With both sides entering the session fully prepared, the Monsoon Session is expected to witness intense debates and high political drama.
