BREAKING: Blurred CBSE Answer Sheets Trigger Fresh Questions Over Digital Evaluation System

Fresh controversy has erupted around the digital evaluation process of the Central Board of Secondary Education after blurred scanned copies of Class 12 answer sheets surfaced, raising serious concerns about transparency and accuracy in the marking system. The issue gained attention after students who requested photocopies of their evaluated answer sheets reportedly received scanned PDFs that were unclear and difficult to read. According to reports, one such answer sheet accessed by the media appears heavily blurred in several sections, making handwritten responses barely visible. The development has reignited questions over whether the same low-quality scanned copies were provided to teachers during evaluation. If evaluators were marking such unclear scripts, concerns are now being raised over the fairness of the assessment process and the possible impact on students’ final scores. Earlier, technicians associated with the scanning process had reportedly claimed that some answer sheets suffered from low resolution, pixel distortion, and blurred text but were still forwarded into the digital checking system. At the time, these claims were considered isolated cases, but the emergence of actual student copies showing visible blur has intensified scrutiny of the entire process. Sources also indicate that several teachers had privately admitted facing difficulties while evaluating certain digitally scanned copies. While some answer sheets were reportedly clear, others allegedly required significant effort to read properly. The issue has become more serious because even if the number of affected students is limited, any technical error in evaluation directly impacts academic records and future opportunities. The controversy has once again put CBSE’s on-screen marking system under public scrutiny, with students and parents demanding accountability and greater transparency. Questions are also being raised about the scanning standards, quality checks, and verification mechanisms used before answer sheets are uploaded for digital evaluation.
