BJP Press Conference: S. Jaishankar's sharp attack on opposition over Katchatheevu Island
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar responded on Monday (April 1, 2024) to the issue of giving Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka. He said that the issue of Katchatheevu did not come up suddenly, it is a live issue, it is often debated in Parliament.
Taking aim at Congress and DMK, S Jaishankar said that both have adopted such a stance on the Katchatheevu issue as if they have no responsibility. He said, “Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has written to me several times. This is not an issue that has come suddenly. I have replied to him (MK Stalin) on this issue 21 times.
