Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to the nation on the 75th year of Independence Day put up ‘5 Praan’ (five pledges) to be observed for the 100th year of Independence of India in the year 2047. “As we enter Amrit Kaal, the next 25 years are very important for us and that is why today, when I look back at the strength of 130 crore Indians in front of me and visualise their dreams, I feel we need to converge our energy on these five pledges,” he said.

PM Modi enumerated the ‘Panchpran’ as —  Developed India, Removal of traces of slavery, take pride in our heritage, unity and unison, and responsibilities of citizens.

“Now the country will move forward with big resolutions only for developed India, nothing less than that,” PM Modi said while enumerating the first pledge.
