Ayodhya: SIT Begins Probe into Alleged Ram Temple Donation Theft

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has begun investigating allegations of donation theft at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The probe gained momentum after the SIT questioned Temple Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and temple administrator Gopal Rao, while trustee Anil Mishra may also be examined. Investigators have collected details of both current and former employees associated with the temple, with an initial report expected within seven days and a final report likely within fifteen days. According to the temple’s donation management process, the complex has 40 donation boxes, and 24 out of 50 temple employees count the offerings and prepare bundles of currency notes with assistance from SBI and TCS personnel under the supervision of the trust. The issue has sparked political debate, with opposition parties demanding a judicially monitored investigation and strict action against those found responsible, while the government has assured that any guilty individuals will face firm legal action.
