Amritsar Blast: One Killed, Babbar Khalsa Link Suspected | ABP NEWS

A powerful explosion occurred near Majitha Road in Amritsar, resulting in the death of one individual. Preliminary reports suggest that the deceased was carrying the explosive device, which detonated accidentally. The identity of the person has not yet been confirmed by police, but initial investigations hint at a possible connection to the banned terror outfit, Babbar Khalsa. Police sources indicate similarities between this blast and a previous incident in Tarn Taran, where a terrorist died in a similar accidental explosion. Authorities suspect that the individual may have been part of a terror module attempting to carry out an attack. Security forces have sealed the area and launched an investigation into the matter. Forensic teams are examining the blast site while efforts to confirm the identity of the deceased are underway. The incident has raised concerns about the presence and movement of terror modules in Punjab.
