Amit Shah's High-Level Noon Meet With BSF, CISF Chiefs Amid Rising Tensions At Border
In a crucial development amid escalating border tensions with Pakistan, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to hold a high-level security review meeting at 12:30 PM today at his residence. According to sources, the Director Generals of the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with the Union Home Secretary, will attend this important session. The meeting’s primary agenda is to assess the current security situation at India’s international borders and sensitive internal installations. The BSF, which guards the borders where recent drone incursions and shelling have been reported—especially in areas like Jammu’s Samba and Poonch—is expected to brief the Home Minister on operational readiness and current threats. On the other hand, the CISF, which secures critical infrastructure like airports and government buildings, will provide updates on internal security preparedness.Sources reveal that this meeting comes in the wake of multiple provocations from Pakistan, including heavy cross-border firing and drone attacks, and is part of India's strategic posture to remain vigilant and respond with strength. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been chairing parallel security meetings since morning, indicating India’s comprehensive and calibrated response to Pakistan's aggression.
