Amarnath Yatra 2020 cancelled due to Coronavirus

This year's Amarnath Yatra has been cancelled due to Coronavirus pandemic. The first Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir, Girish Chandra Murmu, held a meeting over the matter and decided that the pilgrimage should not take place for the year as the Coronavirus situation continues to be serious in the country.
