A week into lockdown, how do vegetable markets fare
It has been seven days since the Modi government announced a national lockdown. During this lockdown, however, it was said that shops that provide items of daily consumption such as vegetable markets will stay open but people need to abide by the social distancing norms. However, when we reached the Sahibabad vegetable market in Delhi, we found that people are shopping for vegetables standing very close to each other and openly flouting the social distancing guidelines issued by the Health Ministry.
