Mumbai bridge collapse: City witnesses 3 bridge collapses in 2 years
This is the third such incident in the past 18 months, which has claimed a total of 30 lives.The CSMT bridge was, ironically, marked “safe” following a structural audit done late last year by a consultant appointed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the city’s civic body.
The victims identified so far include three women -- Apoorva Prabhu, 35, Ranjana Tambe, 40, and Bhakti Shinde, 40. The two men dead are Zahid Siraj Khan, 32 and Tapendra Singh, 35.
