Know the story of 'Tiger Hill' in Kargil War
The Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on July 26 every year to commemorate India's victory in the Kargil war and to honour war heroes.On this historic day in 1999, the army took control of posts in extremely difficult and treacherous glaciated terrain across the Himalayas in the Ladakh region, after 60 days of fighting. To mark the 20th anniversary of the Kargil war, the Border Security Force (BSF) is conducting a series of activities, including felicitating the family members of the martyred soldiers and gallantry award winners of all uniformed forces residing in the border areas.
