Banka is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar state, India. The district headquarter of Banka is situated in Banka town. The district has been established on February 21, 1991. Earlier it was the richest and largest Sub-Division of the district Bhagalpur.  The Lok Sabha elections in 42 constituencies of the state this year will take place in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. Akin to Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will also undergo voting in seven phases.
