INX Media Case: P. Chidambaram produced in CBI court
Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram was arrested by the CBI on Wednesday night from his residence in connection with INX media corruption case after dramatic developments with the agency sleuths scaling walls to gain access to the bungalow in the high-end Jor Bagh locality. Chidambaram will be produced in a special CBI court shortly. A team of four senior lawyers - Kapil Sibal, Vivek Tankha, Abhishek Manu Singhvi along with his wife Nalini and son Karti are already present in the court.
Chidambaram was put up in "Lock-up suite 3" of the CBI building, which was inaugurated by him in 2011. The 73-year-old was the Home Minister of the Congress-led UPA government then.
