Rapid Testing Now Simplifies Monkeypox Virus Detection | Health Live

The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed serious concern over Monkeypox, declaring it a global emergency. The virus's new strain, Clade-1, is considered more infectious and has a higher mortality rate. In response, India has developed its own RT-PCR test kit to combat Mpox. This kit has received approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). The availability of this test kit marks a significant step in India’s fight against the spread of the virus, enabling quicker and more accurate diagnosis. With the WHO's warning and the development of this new testing tool, global efforts to contain the virus are being ramped up to prevent further spread and reduce the associated health risks.
