EC issues notice to SP candidate from Varanasi Tej Bahadur

A day after the Samajwadi Party fielded former Border Security Force (BSF) soldier, Tej Bahadur Yadav as its new candidate for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat, the Election Commission on Tuesday, 30 April, has issued a notice over discrepancy between the two affidavits submitted by him.
Tej Bahadur Yadav will be contesting the Lok Sabha election as a candidate of the grand alliance - Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD).
He will be challenging Modi in Varanasi constituency of Uttar Pradesh,.
