Woman Brands Poha The 'Absolute Worst Food', Internet Disagrees, Says 'Upgrade Your Taste Buds'

Poha, also known as chira or chivda among many other names, is flattened rice largely eaten in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Poha is considered a healthy and comfort food for many. It is usually had as breakfast with either tea or coffee in nearly every Indian household. But a woman has been extremely vocal about her dislike for this popular breakfast. Taking to the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, the user termed poha as the 'absolute worst food'.

Sharing a picture of a bowl of poha, Ayushii wrote, "Honestly, this is the absolute worst food I’ve ever encountered." The post immediately sparked reactions from desi food enthusiasts, with many asking her to 'upgrade' her taste buds

Poha, also known as chira, chivda and aval among many other names, is flattened rice largely popular in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It is a delicious and healthy breakfast recipe made with onions, potatoes and seasoning like chillies, crushed peanuts, lemon and curry leaves.

The post, since being shared on X has garnered 257.7k views and tons of comments.

"Bro is just jealous that she can't get this every morning just like all the indoris," commented one user on the post.

"Time to upgrade your taste buds," wrote another user.

"Poha isn't worse actually it's good, kyu ki this is the food jo without any problem bana'kar khaa'lo, bas bana'ne waalon pe depend hai ki kaise banate hai," commented a third.

While a fourth wrote, "Yess, remove those nuts and potato, than it's the most delicious thing on the planet."
