Viral Video: Delhi Cab Driver Talks To Passenger In Fluent Sanskrit, Netizens Say 'Wish To Learn Language'
The passenger enquired about the driver's name and hometown in Sanskrit to which he replied that he is Ashok and he hails from Gonda in Uttar Pradesh in the same language.
Sanskrit is an ancient language of India but sadly very few people know or speak this language now. It is mostly used by Hindu priests during religious ceremonies. So, when someone converses in Sanskrit fluently, one is bound to be surprised. In a video that has gone viral on the internet, a cab driver in Delhi is seen conversing with his passenger in fluent Sanskrit.
The video posted on the Twitter handle @chidsamskritam with the caption ''Amazing !! This car driver in Delhi speaks Sanskrit with me this morning!!'' has garnered 263.2k views and 10.9k likes so far.
In the video recorded near India Gate in Delhi, one can hear the passenger ask questions to the cab driver in Sanskrit to which he responds in the same language.

On seeing the video, social media users were impressed by the conversation in Sanskrit, while some expressed dismay over how the language is now dying.
