UP Cop's Bizarre Response For Coming Late To Work: 'Wife Comes In Dream, Drinks My Blood'

The bizarre response from the PAC constable posted in Meerut came in response to a notice he received for arriving late at work and missing on his morning duty briefing.

A UP Police constable has given a bizarre response to an official notice seeking explanation for his negligence at work.

The trooper, posted in the 44th Battalion of Uttar Pradesh’s paramilitary force, Pradeshik Armed Constabulary (PAC), claimed that he couldn't sleep at night since his wife comes to him in his dreams, quarrels with him, sits on his chest and tries to drink his blood.

He further said that the disturbing experience leaves him unable to sleep and causes stress in his daily life.

The bizarre response from the PAC constable came in response to a notice he received for arriving late at work and missing on his morning duty briefing. The notice also sought the reason behind wearing improper uniform and coming to work without getting shaved.

"On 16 February at 9 am, you were expected to attend a duty briefing by the in-charge battalion commander. Despite being informed of the time, you arrived late, unshaven, and in uniform that was not up to standard. This instance is not isolated, as your late arrival for group work and team counts has been observed on multiple occasions," the viral letter issued to the PAC trooper read.

"Such behaviour demonstrates a lack of interest in your duties and reflects poorly on your commitment to government work. Within a disciplined force like the PAC, this disregard for punctuality and presentation constitutes gross negligence and signifies indiscipline and arbitrariness. Please explain your actions," the letter added.

In response to the letter, the PAC cop, stationed at the 44th Battalion PAC in Meerut, said he is embroiled in a marital dispute, which is affecting his ability to focus on his work.

He further said in the written response that his wife torments him in his dreams, drinks his blood and leaves him unable to sleep.

The incident, he claimed, was causing him sleeplessness and distress and added that he was under medication for depression and irritability.
