Passengers At Amusement Ride Get Stuck Upside Down In Hyderabad — On Cam

Technicians quickly replaced the battery and fixed the ride. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the ride was operational again shortly after at Numaish.

An amusement ride at the Nampally Numaish Exhibition in Hyderabad got stuck upside down on Thursday. As a result, tourists, who were on the ride got stuck for almost 25 minutes. The incident captured on the phone went viral on social media.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the organisers of the event stated that the Giant Wheel-style amusement ride stopped due to a battery problem after going up. Later, all the people came down after the organisers fixed the issue.

An official from the exhibition society addressed the incident, explaining that the amusement ride became stuck upside down during a trial run because of a battery issue. Technicians quickly replaced the battery and fixed the ride. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the ride was operational again shortly after at Numaish.

The incident was posted on social media platform X with the caption, "This is why I am scared of rides - battery issues!! An amusement ride at Hyderabad's Numaish got stuck upside down for more than 25 minutes on Thursday evening, January 16."

After the incident surfaced on social media, the netizens came up with mixed responses in the comment section. One of the users said, "Omg, that’s too scary. Recklessness of the organizers and don’t care attitude of the people will never change in our great nation."

The next said, "So scary situation..! These informal amusement rides should be regulated properly with strict procedures before giving permission.."

"I never go on these kinds of rides because I believe physics is more important than amusement, "another said.
