Actors Playing Lord Ram, Ravan Beat Each Other On Stage During Dussehra Performance, Netizens React — WATCH

During the stage show, tensions escalated when the actors playing Ram and Ravana began throwing punches and pulling each other’s hair.

A fight erupted on stage between the performing actors playing Lord Ram and Ravana during a play on Dussehra in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The video of the incident captured on the phone, quickly went viral on social media.

The viral footage on social media platform X shows 'Lord Ram' and 'Lakshman' shooting arrows at 'Ravana' amid the play. However, tensions escalated when the actors playing Ram and Ravana began throwing punches and pulling each other’s hair. The scuffle continued until members of the audience intervened and separated the two.

“In Amroha, UP, Ram and Ravan clashed in real life during a Ramlila performance. Ravan pushed Ram. People reached the stage and intervened,” the viral video captioned in Hindi on X.

Online Users React To Viral Video

After the incident came to light on social media, netizens sparked with sarcasm and mixed reactions. One of the netizens said, " While enacting Ramleela, Mahabharata actually happened."

Another user said, "It seems that Ram ji took Ravan seriously."

The next said in Hindi, "Where is patience in today's people? Everyone gets angry on small issues and hence people lose their temper and their family has to pay the price for the whole life."

"Ram ji par hamla karne par Ravan pr case hogya hoga...ab tk to (a case would have been filed against Ravana for attacking Lord Ram... till now), " a user stated.

Another also said, "Because of social media we are forgetting our own culture, let's see how far we go in a few years."
