The former MLA Vishnu Vardhan joined the BRS after he was denied a ticket by Congress to contest in Telangana Assembly Elections scheduled by the end of November.
Vishu Vardhan was a former MLA from Khairatabad and Jubilee Hills.
On Sunday, Vishnu Vardhan reportedly met BRS Chief KCR at his Camp Office. On Monday, Vishnu said that he never imagined that the Congress would come to his state.
Later in the day, Minister Harish Rao said that BRS would give a "respectable position" to Vishnu Vardhan Reddy. He also heartily welcomed Reddy to his party.
"The Congress leaders say P Janardhan Reddy (Vishnu Vardhan's father) means the Congress and Congress means PJR. He worked hard for Congress but the party has now been taken over by a few gangs that are meeting out grave injustice to sincere and hard-working members like him. We will give respectable position to Vishnu Vardhan (in BRS)," he said, as reported by IANS, citing sources.
