PM Modi Hyderabad Visit: Telangana government has appointed Minister T Srinivasa Yadav who will receive and send off PM during his Hyderabad visit.
Chennai: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao skipped meeting PM Modi who is expected to arrive in Hyderabad for attending the BJP executive meeting scheduled for two days from Saturday. This is the third time the CM breached the protocol by avoiding to greet PM Modi in less than five months.
According to sources, Telangana government has appointed Minister T Srinivasa Yadav who will receive and send off PM during his Hyderabad visit.
Earlier this year twice KCR avoided meeting with the PM in Hyderabad. On May 23, KCR avoided greeting PM Modi during his visit and instead recommenced his tours to establish an "alternative front" for 2024 Presidential Polls by calling upon JD(S) leader and former PM HD Deve Gowda for a meeting in Bengaluru.
KCR also skipped the meeting of CMs called by the PM on the COVID-19 situation.
Meanwhile, the two-day BJP executive meeting scheduled on July 2 and the address by PM Modi on July 3 are viewed as a springboard for the party to capture power in the state.
