BenQ Launches Google EDLA-Certified Smart Boards
Display solutions major BenQ has announced it will unveil its next-generation smart boards, the BenQ Board Pro RP04 and the BenQ Board Master RM04, at InfoComm India 2023, a tradeshow platform for Pro-AV solutions. The event will kick off on October 25 and run through October 27 at Jio World Convention Centre, in Mumbai. These smartboards are India’s first fully integrated boards with Google Mobile Services (GMS) and officially certified under the Google Enterprise Devices Licensing Agreement (EDLA).
Lava Agni 2 Gets Two New Colour Options
Homegrown handset maker Lava Mobiles has announced its Agni 2 series in two new color options: Heather Glass, which is a shade of purple and Iron Glass, which is a deep grey variant. The Lava Agni 2 smartphone was originally launched in May and comes with a sleek design. There's a 6.78-inch Full HD+ Curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate in the Lava Agni 2. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor and coupled with 8GB of RAM.
Almost 90 Per Cent Indian CEOs May Reward Workers If They Come To Office: KPMG
Around 90 per cent of Indian CEOs are likely to reward employees who try to come to the office, with raises, promotions, and favourable assignments, a new report by global consulting firm KPMG has said. Globally, about 87 per cent of CEOs consider implementing the same. The findings were based on a survey on more than 1,300 CEOs of the world’s largest businesses, including 125 CEOs from India, said geopolitics and broader political uncertainty are now the greatest risks to business growth. The report noted that geopolitics and political uncertainty have become the leading perceived risk this year for senior executives -- concerns that didn’t even make the top three of the five risks in 2022.
Vietnam-Based Cybercrime Groups Target India With Malicious Campaign
Vietnam-based cybercrime groups are targeting digital marketing firms based in India, the US and the UK. They are using methods such as hijacking Facebook business accounts in a malicious campaign, as per WithSecure, a cybersecurity firm. The popular malware 'Darkgate' has been combined with a Malware as a Service (MaaS) toolkit to infect victims with rival remote access trojans (RATs) and additional information-stealing malware like Ducktail, Lobshot, and Redline. Multiple infection attempts with DarkGate malware were identified by researchers, targeting these countries on August 4, the cybersecurity firm noted.
Chinese Govt Probing Foxconn Over Tax, Land Use: Report
World's largest contract manufacturer of electronics, Taipei, Taiwanese-based Foxconn Technology Group is being probed by Chinese authorities, the media has reported. The company is also the biggest assembler of Apple iPhones and one of the largest employers in China. Foxconn is known locally as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. in China and manufactures millions of iPhone units from its Zhengzhou facility, also known as iPhone city. According to a report by Nikkei Asia, which quoted state-run media outelt Global Times, Chinese authorities have conducted tax audits on "key enterprises" of Foxconn in Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces, and that the Ministry of Natural Resources has investigated land use at such bases in Henan and Hubei provinces.
