Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro Series Launched In India
Asus has unveiled the ROG Phone 8 Pro series in India. Featuring a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR 1-120Hz LTPO display with a gaming-friendly 165Hz refresh rate, the phone boasts up to 2500 nits peak brightness and runs on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, supported by up to 24GB of RAM. Incorporating the proprietary Rapid-Cooling Conductor design as a component of its advanced GameCool thermal system, the phone efficiently transfers heat directly from the processor to the back cover. Furthermore, the redesigned AeroActive Cooler X clip-on cooler, now 29 per cent smaller, ensures 1.2X higher thermal efficiency, resulting in a significant reduction of up to 26 deree Celcius in the back cover temperature.
Google News Initiative's Second Cohort Of Startups Lab Here
In a bid to support existing and emerging players within the news ecosystem in the country, Gogle News Initiative (GNI) has announced the second cohort of the GNI Startups Lab, which is a 12-week catalyst programme, in collaboration with Anymind Group and T-Hub that aims to help the next generation, independent, early stage Indian news startups achieve financial and operational sustainability. Chosen out of more than 110 applicants from across India, the ten news startups cover an array of categories of journalism, including investigative, political, medical, youth, climate and local news that provides a voice to underrepresented communities. The diverse cohort features newsrooms from around the country, producing news in multiple Indian regional languages including English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu.
Sony's Spatial Content Creation System With XR Headset, Controller In The Works
Following Apple's official announcement of pre-order details and the US launch date for its Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset, Sony has also revealed plans of the development of an immersive spatial content creation system. This system comprises an XR (extended reality) head-mounted display and a pair of controllers, targeting creators in the 3D content realm. Sony's headset will be powered by the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 Platform and feature 4K OLED Microdisplays. While the Japanese tech giant did not specify a launch date, it confirmed that the headset would be available later this year.
