Western Digital Unveils Storage Solutions By SanDisk
Western Digital has unveiled a range of new storage solutions under its SanDisk brand, in an attempt to address the growing demand for additional storage both in-home and on the go. In a world of digitised experiences and pixelated memories, the constant need for more space persists. The company has introduced the Ultra Dual Drive Go flash drives, Ultra microSD UHS-I cards, and the PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type B memory card. Offering storage configurations ranging from 64GB to 256GB, the Ultra Dual Drive Go flash drive comes in Absinthe Green, Lavender, and Navagio Bay colour options. The Black variant, on the other hand, provides 1TB of storage space. Western Digital says that the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go boasts transfer speeds of up to 400MB per second and is compatible with various devices featuring USB Type-C and Type-A ports.
Google Removes Fake Android Loan Apps Targeting Indians
Cybersecurity firm ESET's researchers discovered 18 deceptive Android loan apps posing as legitimate personal loan services. Google has taken down 17 of these apps, which were targeting users in India and other countries. ESET Research's report reveals that these apps had accumulated over 12 million downloads worldwide from the Google Play Store before being removed. These misleading Android loan apps are categorized as 'SpyLoan apps'.
Iqoo 12 Official Price Leaked By E-Commerce Site Ahead Of India Launch
Iqoo 12 is set to be officially launched in India in about a week and details about its pricing, memory options, and processor have surfaced on e-commerce site Amazon.in. The accidental listing, now removed, suggests that the Iqoo 12 will be launched at a starting price of Rs 52,999. The listing further confirmed that the phone will be powered by a top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which was already confirmed by the brand.

Apple Asks Its Component Suppliers To Get Batteries For iPhone 16 From India
Apple on Wednesday communicated to its component suppliers that it wants to obtain batteries from Indian factories for the upcoming iPhone 16 line, in a push away from China, says a report by The Financial Times. Battery producers like China's Desay have been urged to establish new factories in India and Simplo Technology, a Taiwanese battery supplier for Apple, has been prompted to increase its production capacity in India to fulfill upcoming orders, the report noted.

Meta To Stop Cross-App Chatting On Facebook And Instagram This Month
Meta has announced the discontinuation of cross-app communication between Facebook and Instagram, starting mid-December. Accordeing to a recent support page update on Meta-owned Instagram, users will no longer have the capability to initiate new conversations or calls with Facebook accounts directly from Instagram. For ongoing conversations with Facebook accounts, users are advised to commence a new chat on Messenger or Facebook, via their Facebook account. The feature was rolled out in September 2020.
