These World Leaders Have Highest Number Of Followers On Twitter, See List

Most Followers On Twitter: In the list of leaders to be followed on Twitter, Modi has reached the first position, beating Donald Trump. The number of his followers on Twitter has exceeded 7 crores.

Most Followers on Twitter: India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the most popular leader on the list of active leaders in the world. In the list of leaders followed on microblogging site Twitter, Modi has overtaken former US President Donald Trump to reach the first position. The number of followers on his Twitter handle has exceeded 7 crores(70 million).

Donald Trump's name had earlier topped the list and was followed by 8.87 million people on Twitter, but now his account on Twitter has been closed. At that time, PM Modi was second with 64.7 million followers or 64 crores 47 lakh followers. After Modi, the name of Pope Francis of the Vatican is second on this list.

PM Narendra Modi started using Twitter in 2009. On the other hand, former US President Barack Obama is the world's most popular person outside active politics. He has more than 130 million followers on Twitter. 

Was on top of trending charts in 2020 as well

Before this, between August and October of 2020, PM Modi topped the trending charts with Twitter, YouTube, and Google search. Amid the era of the Corona pandemic, once again his popularity is increasing worldwide.

Coming to other top leaders of the country, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has 19.4 million followers on Twitter. At the same time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has more than 2 crores, 62 lakh followers, on Twitter. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has 2.28 million followers on Twitter.
