New Delhi: Microsoft Surface Go 3 with pre-installed Windows 11 was launched in India on Wednesday for Rs 57,999. This is also the first device from the tech giant that has been launched with Windows 11 pre-installed in it. The company is touting it as the most portable Surface built for Windows 11.
According to the tech giant, pre-orders for the new Surface Go 3 will start on Amazon India starting November 23. The price of the Surface Go 3 starts at Rs 57,999, and the device weighs 544 grams. Prices of Surface for Business units start at Rs 42,999.
Pricing of the new Surface Go 3 is almost in line with the previous-gen Surface Go 2.
“We are pleased to bring the new Surface Go 3 to India, expanding our Surface portfolio for Windows 11. Throughout our history as Surface, we have seen that the most meaningful experiences come from innovation at the intersection of hardware and software. This idea was the catalyst for Surface—to build hardware that would not only be a stage for Windows but push the platform and the ecosystem forward," Rajiv Sodhi, Chief Operating Officer, Microsoft India, said in a statement.
Microsoft Surface Go 3 Specs and Details
The Surface Go 3 is the most portable Surface 2-in-1 that has been designed to light up the best of Windows 11. According to Microsoft, Surface Go 3 is 60 per cent faster with a 10th Gen Intel Core i3 processor.
The device features optional LTE Advanced, all-day battery, built-in Microsoft security, and is optimized for tablet-to-laptop versatility along with a digital Pen and touch.
In a bid to reduce complexity, commercial variants of Surface Go 3 can be deployed straight to employees with Windows Autopilot for a zero-touch experience. Whether devices are onsite or in the field, the built-in cloud-powered security is designed to keep company information and customer data safe.
"We hope that this new product will help more and more people to collaborate and create anytime and anywhere,” Sodhi added.
The Surface Go 3 is available in consumer and commercial SKUs. The consumer SKU will be available in a single configuration with a 10th Gen Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD.
However, there are more options for business buyers - the price of Surface Go 3 'for business' will start at Rs 42,999 for the configuration with 10th Gen Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y, 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage.
Another configuration with a 10th Gen Intel Core i3-10100Y, 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage will cost Rs 47,999 and 10th Gen Intel Core i3-10100Y, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD for Rs 62,999. These will be available starting December at authorised resellers.
