Microsoft Rolls Out New Copilot Features, Can Now 'See' What You're Browsing. Indian Users Will Not Get Them Right Now

Microsoft Copilot's new Voice and Vision features will only be available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the US as part of the initial rollout.

Microsoft has unveiled a set of exciting new features for its AI chatbot, Copilot, designed to enhance its capabilities and offer users a more personalised experience. The revamped Copilot now boasts additions like Copilot Voice, Copilot Vision, Think Deeper, and Copilot Daily, among others. These updates aim to make interacting with Copilot smoother, smarter, and more intuitive across mobile, web, and the Windows app.

No word yet on when Indian users can expect to get the new features, but a rollout is expected soon.

Copilot Vision Can 'See' What You're Doing

Copilot Vision is a feature that enables Copilot to "see" what users are browsing on their devices. It analyzes both text and images on a webpage and provides insights, suggestions, or assistance based on what’s on-screen.

Microsoft emphasises privacy with this feature, ensuring that all interactions are temporary and content is not stored for future use.

Copilot Voice Lets You 'Talk' To The System

A key highlight is Copilot Voice, which introduces voice interaction to the platform, allowing users to talk directly to Copilot.

Users can choose from four distinct voice options, making communication more engaging and tailored.

Think Deeper For Complex Tasks

For those with complex queries, Think Deeper offers in-depth, detailed responses, helping users make more informed decisions.

This feature allows Copilot to take more time to process difficult questions, providing step-by-step answers.

Daily Summaries

Copilot Daily adds a personal touch to the experience by summarising news, weather, and upcoming events each morning in the user’s chosen voice, drawing information from trusted sources such as Reuters and USA TODAY Network.

To make getting started easier, Copilot Discover introduces users to the platform’s capabilities through guided conversations and personalised suggestions based on their Microsoft usage history.

Additionally, Microsoft is giving early access to new experimental features through Copilot Labs, including both Copilot Vision and Think Deeper. These tools will allow users to test new functionalities and provide feedback to shape future updates.

Rollout & Availability

Microsoft is rolling out these updates across iOS, Android, and Windows, with further integrations planned for platforms like WhatsApp. Initially, some features, like Copilot Voice, will be available only in select regions (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the US) with plans to expand to more countries and languages soon.

With these updates, Microsoft continues to position Copilot as a versatile tool that not only responds to queries but also evolves to meet users' daily needs in more intuitive and dynamic ways.
