Samsung Galaxy S25 Leaks: Fresh Photos Of Dummy Models Surface, Hint At Flatter Design & No Telephoto Camera

Samsung Galaxy S25 Leaks: The dummy units lack a periscope telephoto camera, which has been a defining feature of Samsung's Ultra line.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Leaks: Samsung’s next-generation flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, is shaping up to be a notable departure from its predecessors, particularly in its design. Leaks and dummy unit images circulating online suggest that the Ultra model will feature a flatter frame and more rounded corners, offering a fresh aesthetic compared to the sharper, more angular design of previous Ultra devices.

While these leaks have stirred excitement, their authenticity is under scrutiny, as the dummy units are reportedly created by third-party manufacturers in China and lack Samsung’s official branding.

Samsung Galaxy S25: A Redesign With Caveats

The alleged Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy models, shared by noted tipster Roland Quandt on Bluesky, showcase potential design changes, but questions remain about their accuracy. Notably, the camera setup has sparked debate.

The dummy units lack a periscope telephoto camera, which has been a defining feature of Samsung's Ultra line, offering up to 10x optical zoom in recent generations. This omission has led to speculation that Samsung might introduce its new ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) technology in the Ultra series.

While the ALoP module was revealed last month and could offer innovative features, it maxes out at 3x optical zoom. This raises doubts about whether Samsung would replace the periscope telephoto system, which has become a signature feature of the Ultra series.

Samsung Galaxy S25: Upgraded Camera Hardware?

Apart from the telephoto camera changes, rumours suggest the Galaxy S25 Ultra may boast a 50MP ultrawide sensor with a 1/2.52-inch size, 0.7µm pixels, and an F1.9 aperture. If true, this upgrade could significantly enhance the phone's versatility for photography enthusiasts.

While much of this information remains speculative, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 series during its next Unpacked event, reportedly set for January. Until then, tech enthusiasts will continue to analyze these leaks and anticipate what the final design and feature set will bring.

Samsung’s Ultra models have historically set benchmarks for flagship smartphones, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra seems poised to carry that legacy forward — with some potentially surprising twists.
