Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi unveiled its latest addition to the A-series lineup, the Redmi A3, in India yesterday. This new entry-level smartphone boasts a sleek waterdrop-style notch display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC.

Featuring a vibrant design, the Redmi A3 comes in three striking colour options and offers three different configurations for RAM and storage. Equipped with what is claimed to be an AI-supported 8-megapixel dual-camera setup, this smartphone ensures users capture memorable moments with clarity. Additionally, it is fueled by a robust 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

Redmi A3 Price In India

In terms of pricing and availability, the Redmi A3 starts at Rs 7,299 for the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The 4GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 8,299, while the 6GB + 128GB version comes in at Rs 9,299. Consumers can choose from Midnight Black, Olive Green, and Lake Blue colour options when it hits the shelves on February 23, available through Flipkart, Mi.com, and Xiaomi's retail partners.

Redmi A3 Specifications

Delving into its specifications, the Redmi A3 runs on Android 13 (Go Edition) and flaunts a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz touch sampling rate and 90Hz refresh rate. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, this display hosts a waterdrop-style notch accommodating the selfie camera. Under the hood, it packs the octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM, expandable up to 12GB with virtual RAM functionality.

The device is equipped with an AI-powered dual rear camera setup, featuring an 8-megapixel primary sensor alongside a secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, users can rely on the 5-megapixel front camera.

Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, micro-USB port, Glonass, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, it boasts features like an accelerometer, e-compass, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Measuring at 76.3x168.4x8.3mm and weighing 193 grams, the Redmi A3 promises to offer a seamless and enjoyable user experience with its robust specifications and affordable pricing.
