Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Launched. OnePlus 12, Xiaomi 14, Realme GT5 Pro To Arrive With The Chipset
Flagship Android smartphones powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are likely to be available in the coming weeks.
Qualcomm Technologies has officially launched its flagship mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 at its annual Snapdragon Summit. The first lot of flagship Android phones to come with the chipset are OnePlus 12, Realme GT5 Pro and Xiaomi 14, among others. The processor will be adopted for flagship devices by other OEMs and smartphone brands including Asus, Honor, Meizu, Nio, Nubia, Redmi, RedMagic, Sony, Vivo and ZTE.

Like most tech majors, Qualcomm's new flagship chip brings new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, advanced camera capabilities, console-defying gaming, and studio-quality audio. According to Qualcomm, the mobile platform has been meticulously designed with generative AI in mind.
“Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 infuses high-performance AI across the entire system to deliver premium-level performance and extraordinary experiences to consumers. This platform unlocks a new era of generative AI enabling users to generate unique content, help with productivity, and other breakthrough use cases,” Chris Patrick, senior vice president and general manager of mobile handsets, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., said in a statement.
“Each year, we set out to design leading features and technologies that will power our latest Snapdragon 8-series mobile platform and the next generation of flagship Android devices. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 delivers," Patrick added.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 is set to be the first device to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Company president William Lu has already confirmed the launch of the model in home turf China. The device is set to debut on October 26 as Xiaomi's next flagship device.
OnePlus and Oppo are likely to debut te purported OnePlus 12 and the Oppo Find X7 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset under the hood.
