Poco C50 With Android 12 Go Launched In India. Features, Specs And More
The budget Poco C50 is a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+ that was launched in the country a few months ago.
Handset maker Poco on Tuesday launched the Poco C50 in India market. The budget smartphone is a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+ that was launched in the country a few months ago. Some of its key highlights of the budget hadset include dual cameras, big battery and a dedicated fingerprint scanner. The Poco C50 has been priced under Rs 10,000 and is a successor to the Poco C40 that was launched last year globally. Samsung is also set to launch its new budget smartphone, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy F04, in the country on January 4 that will go against the Poco C50.
As mentioned earlier, the Poco C50 is a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+ and hence features the same leather-like texture at the back along with a square-shaped camera module. There is a dedicated fingerprint scanner at the back. The phone has been launched in two color options: Country Green and Royal Blue. The price of the Poco C50 has been set at Rs 6,499 for 2GB RAM + 32GB of storage model and Rs 7,299 for 3GB RAM + 32GB of storage model. The device will start retailing from January 10 on e-commerce site Flipkart. The company is offering a one-year warranty on the phone and six months warranty on the in-box accessories.
The Poco C50 has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 400 nits of brightness, touch sampling rate of 120Hz and a waterdrop notch. The phone has an HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded by up to 512GB via a microSD card slot. In terms of imaging, the rear camera has an 8MP dual AI cameras and a 5MP selfie camera at the front. The Poco C50 features a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The device runs Android 12 Go Edition. Other features include a single speaker, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth version 5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, among others.
Meanwhile, Samsung's budget phone that is set to launch in the country, according to a teaser on Flipkart, would be priced under Rs 8,000 (for the base model). The Samsung Galaxy F04 will also come with dual rear cameras, like the Poco C50 and come in two colours: Opal Green and Jade Purple.
The South Korean tech major has also revealed that the Galaxy F04 will run Android 12 out of the box.
