HMD Barbie Phone: What We Know So Far

The HMD Barbie flip phone is set to launch on August 28. The brand has shared a poster on X showcasing the phone’s pink colour, aligning with the Barbie branding. While the pricing and features have been revealed, interested users can now sign up for the latest updates on HMD's website.

HMD, known for exclusively selling phones under the Nokia brand, announced plans to release a Barbie-branded flip phone during MWC 2024 in February. Initially expected to launch in July, the company has partnered with Mattel for this release.

The HMD Barbie flip phone is likely to operate on either S30+ or KaiOS, and is expected to be a classic feature phone rather than a smartphone, consistent with HMD's digital-detox theme.

In addition to the Barbie phone, HMD recently announced a few new products. The HMD Crest and Crest Max 5G were launched last week, marking HMD's entry into the Indian smartphone market. Previously, the company offered Nokia-branded devices in the region. Earlier this month, HMD also introduced the Skyline in Europe, featuring a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and a 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup.
