Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Specifications, Features

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has achieved a significant weight reduction, shedding nearly an ounce compared to last year’s model. When unfolded, the device’s ultra-slim profile is particularly impressive, measuring just 5.1 mm in thickness — a remarkable engineering achievement that sets a new benchmark in the foldable smartphone market. Among the standout upgrades is the larger 8-inch interior display, up from the 7.6-inch screen of its predecessor. This LTPO panel supports a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz, providing smoother scrolling and more efficient power usage. The display also boasts an impressive 2,700 nits of brightness and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, ensuring vibrant and sharp visuals in any lighting environment.

Perhaps the most groundbreaking feature is the AI-driven enhancement of video quality in low-light situations. This innovation addresses a common challenge in smartphone videography, potentially transforming the way users capture videos at night or indoors.

For photography enthusiasts, Google remains committed to top-tier imaging with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The device carries over the 48-megapixel main camera and 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto lens from its predecessor. A notable upgrade is the inclusion of a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide sensor, although it’s a slight step down from the 48-megapixel ultrawide found in the standard Pixel 9 Pro.
