Facebook Launches Live Audio Rooms To Compete With Clubhouse

Social media giant Facebook has also introduced Live Audio Rooms and podcasts very similar to Clubhouse. After the success of Clubhouse, which gained immense popularity in a very short span of time, Facebook has decided to launch the same on its platform. Before Facebook, Twitter, and messaging platform Discord have also started their live audio segments. There are reports that now LinkedIn and Reddit can also bring audio segments soon.

How it will work?
Famous people and some Facebook groups in the US will be able to create a live audio room using iOS. The number of speakers will be 50, while the number of listeners can be unlimited. According to Facebook, users will also be able to invite other users to speak who do not have verified badges. Some podcasts will also be made available on Facebook for listeners in the US.
Clubhouse has 5 million users in India
Audio-chat based social networking app Clubhouse was made available for Android users in India only last month. In a few days, it garnered more than one lakh users and more than five million users in India downloaded it in the next 30 days. Clubhouse has now over 2 million active users in India.
