Ground Report: War Impact in Israel as Reporter Travels via Jordan to Return to India

ABP News correspondent Vishal Pandey has shared an on-ground report describing the situation inside Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the region. After spending several days covering the war, he is now returning to India through Jordan because regular air routes from Israel remain largely restricted. Pandey reported that after leaving Tel Aviv, the roads remained largely deserted for nearly an hour, with most residents staying indoors due to security concerns. The route toward the Jordan River Border Crossing passes through mountainous terrain and isolated areas, with only a few vehicles visible—mostly tourists attempting to exit the country. He explained that travelers leaving Israel currently have three main options: crossing land borders into Egypt or Jordan, or traveling by sea to Cyprus and then catching international flights. Pandey chose the Jordan route after obtaining an e-visa and plans to fly to Mumbai from Amman. During the journey, he spoke with a Jordanian resident named Hamza, whose family originally comes from Palestine. Hamza said the war between Iran and Israel is dangerous for the entire region. Although Jordan remains largely safe, he noted that missile alert sirens sometimes sound several times a day as missiles pass over the region. Pandey observed that while Israelis appear prepared for prolonged conflict, concerns are rising across Gulf countries as Iran increases attacks targeting American military bases in the region.
