Elon Musk On How Work From Office Saved Tesla From Going Bankrupt

After the pandemic, a number of people have raised their voices to call for a hybrid work culture instead of organisations making it mandatory for employees to return to their offices. However, there is also a set of people, especially leaders in corporate sector who have argued that coming to office is crucial for the business to grow. X owner Elon Musk has also weighed in on the topic.
The CEO at Hanover, Chris Hladczuk, shared screenshots of Elon Musk's two-year-old mail to his employees in which he revealed how he saved Tesla from going bankrupt.
How Did Elon Musk Save Tesla From Going Bankrupt?
In the two-year-old mail to his employees, Musk wrote, "Everyone at Tesla is required to spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office per week. Moreover, the office must be where your actual colleagues are located, not some remote pseudo office. If you don't show up, we will assume you have resigned. The more senior you are, the more visible must be your presence."

He added, "That is why I lived in the factory so much - so that those on the line could see me working alongside them. If I had not done that, Tesla would long ago have gone bankrupt. There are of course companies that don't require this, but when was the last time they shipped a great new product? It's been a while. Tesla has and will create and actually manufacture the most exciting and meaningful products of any company on Earth. This will not happen by phoning it in."
While some may not agree with Musk over his beliefs, none can reject his argument blatantly. The tech titan has been known for having extreme views, but at the end of the day, his success has often done a good job at making others respect his opinion, at least, if not accept it.
